UrbanDive, welcome to the city 2.0

Online map search remains one of the development pillars of the PagesJaunes Group’s services. The UrbanDive project is based on a strategic partnership with the Californian company Earthmine and provides access to dynamic, practical, local information by means of an immersive and panoramic representation of the city from any point on a street.

UrbanDive is a new and original application built around an open ecosystem and providing an entire universe of applications enabling users to stay in touch with their social and geographic environment. They will be able to add information dynamically to share favourite places and experiences with friends, easily take advantage of practical geolocated services, obtain real-time information and use gaming applications in the city.

It represents a major advance for the PagesJaunes Group at a time when cities are becoming increasingly interactive and Internet users are demonstrating a need to stay permanently connected to their social networks and communities.

The service will be launched in a beta version for Paris and Marseille in the fourth quarter of 2010 (http://urbandive.com), before being rapidly rolled out to 150 major cities in France. From launch, it will be accessible on PCs and iPhones.
